Paladin Connect is a non-profit organization registered in the State of New York. Paladin Connect works with a range of microfinance institutions that require legal assistance to operate and grow their business. Any non-profit microfinance institution is able to submit one or more requests for legal assistance to Paladin Connect by completing a Work Request form. Once a Work Request is submitted, Paladin Connect's participating law firms will be offered the opportunity to indicate interest in working on a particular project. Each Work Request will have a defined timeframe attached for law firms to indicate their interest. Paladin Connect will then discuss the Work Request with interested law firms and appoint appropriate counsel to the particular legal project. Each law firm will conduct a check for conflicts in representing the microfinance institution and any additional due diligence required. Paladin Connect's participating law firms are distinguished by the depth of their expertise, their integration of global and cross-disciplinary practices, and their strong commitment to pro bono service. A list of Paladin Connect's participating law firms can be located on the Participating Law Firms page. Paladin Connect was founded by Kimberly Summe. Ms. Summe received law degrees from Cambridge University and The University of Chicago. She served as the General Counsel of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers and is currently General Counsel of an investment advisory firm based in San Francisco. Ms. Summe is also an adjunct professor at the Stanford Law School. Click here for a link to articles about Paladin Connect.
